Marci passed a tag along to me. Here I go: 1. How many books do you have? Estimating over 200. A good stack is non-fiction. 2. What was the last book you read? Fiction? The last Harry Pooter. Whoops. Potter. Had to finish the series. Non-fiction: been digging through my wine making books again. 3. Top ten favorite books: I just want to say that I don't have a single super favourite book and there are more books that I would count as good reading than I can list here, and my tastes have changed over the years such that things I once counted as great, I no longer do. On with the list: Random House College Dictionary (What? It's the book I open the most all year long.) The Belgariad (just those first five books, didn't like the second set of books, haven't bothered with the rest) ..... I'm thinking. Shoot. I'll just shove in... The Pern series, especially The White Dragon Darn it. I'm digging for books to list here. One, two, three, that's all. I need ten. Oh, man. Wait, it's coming to me. Nope. Have to run upstairs to the fiction shelf. I'm back. Judith Tarr's Hound and the Falcon series, and just about anything she writes in that world. The BFG! Yes! Yes! Roald Dahl. Pick it up and read like a kid again, folks. Alice in Wonderland. Who wrote that? (snigger) Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach I'm on seven. Need eight, nine and ten. Grimm's Fairy Tales...by...um... The Greek myths. I don't care who wrote it. Help me! Ten! What is ten? Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover novels, especially the first ones about the Hasturs. There. Finally. Tagging M.E. Ellis, Bernita, wl551, cupnjava, Debbie Mumford! And now on to that newsletter. Jordana Ryan put out her first newsletter today. She has writing tips, news from fellow authors, personal news and excerpts from her writing, and a short story section (this month's newsletter features a story by J.L. Foster).
